Hi Stocks Golfer
v CHARITY WEEK
I have now received a list of all the entrants
to the STOCKS Members Charity Day on Sunday 22nd June (as you may
know the first day was cancelled).

THE
COURSE will still be closed to all but the charity events from Saturday 14th
to Sunday 22nd inclusive.

v CLUB CHAMPS
Do remember that your chance to find out where
you lie in the golf ratings at Stocks starts on Saturday 28th June. Which will be the first day of the BLUE TEE
Annual Club Championships (and the only day of the Millennium Cup Nett Medal). Entry is just the same as the standard monthly
competitions i.e. sign in at the pro shop and wait your turn at the tee. The entry fee is also the same (and only one
irrespective of the fact that you may well be in two competitions and over two
days).

Bob Dixon has kindly agreed to make a
draw of 3 balls for those that turn up for 09:15 on the Saturday wanting to
join up. There will special prize vouchers for the winners of both events and
of course your name on the honors boards in the future club house!
v I understand that we still do not
have definite news from Dacorum about the planning application - although the Harris office remain
optimistic............
v SUMMER KNOCKOUTS
The SKO’s are progressing well – the current
charts can all be seen by selecting Singles , Doubles and/or Mixed . Please do be aware of the reduction in available
playing time due to the charity events!
v COURSE STATS
I have also posted some stats that may be of
interest – e.g. a so called Course Analysis which shows the average scores for
each hole over every white tee competition since January 2007. That and others can be found on http://www.stoxgolf.com/news.shtm#stats
There’s also a list of current handicaps
in pdf format which I would be interested to know if you can all read....
v COMPETITION PRIZES
Finally most of you have started to cash in
your prize vouchers (mainly from the pro shop at Ivinghoe). From now on each voucher will have its “cash-by-date”
of 6 months from issue – surely that should be enough?
